Eligibility & ordering
Who can order from Tyde?
Tyde is intended for individuals and organizations purchasing peptides and related compounds for legitimate laboratory, analytical, or research purposes. At the point of purchase, every buyer is required to affirm they are at least 21 years old and are purchasing for research use — not for personal, human, or veterinary consumption. See Eligibility, Age & Researcher Attestation.
Is ordering open right now?
Not yet. Tyde is in a pre-launch phase — the catalog and site are being finished ahead of checkout. The Shipping & Order Fulfillment and Returns & Refundspolicies are drafted and posted now, consistent with how they’ll work once ordering opens — see Legal & Compliance for their current, pre-launch status.
Do I need to be a licensed researcher or an institution to buy?
No formal license or institutional affiliation is required. Tyde relies on a self-attestation model, and you make it twice: once in the account agreement when you sign up, and again at checkout for the specific order in front of you. Both are real representations you’re making, not a formality — see Eligibility, Age & Researcher Attestation for exactly what it covers.
Products & specifications
What information appears on a product page?
Purity and the analytical method behind it, physical form, fill size, and appearance. No certificate of analysis is linked from a listing today; when one is released for a material it appears on that material's page.
Specification fields that aren’t available yet are shown as pending rather than left ambiguous. The certificate field works differently: it appears only when a certificate actually exists, and a listing without one says so in plain words where the field would have been, rather than showing an empty row.
How is purity presented?
Purity is shown with the reported analytical method, such as HPLC or MS, when that method is available. A bare percentage without a method is treated as an incomplete specification and labeled accordingly.
What if a specification isn’t listed yet?
A specification field that isn’t available says so directly — for example “specification pending” — rather than being dropped or implying a value that hasn’t been verified. A listing cannot go live at all without a purity figure and the analytical method behind it; those two are what a material is identified by, so a draft stays a draft until they exist.
Does Tyde provide dosing or usage guidance?
No, and it will not. Tyde does not provide dosing, administration, injection, storage-for-use, or handling-for-consumption guidance for any product, under any circumstances. Product pages and support communications are limited to specification and documentation. Consult a product’s Safety Data Sheet for handling and safety information.
Certificates of Analysis
Are certificates available?
Not yet. No certificate of analysis is published for any listed material, and no listing implies one. What every listing does state is its purity figure and the analytical method behind that figure, its physical form and its fill size. Every batch we receive arrives with a manufacturer's certificate of analysis reporting HPLC purity. Those certificates are issued to our supplier rather than to Tyde Labs, so we do not publish them here as our own. Testing commissioned in Tyde's own name is underway, and each result will be published on the listing it belongs to as it completes. When a certificate is released for a material, it is linked directly from that material's specification page.
What does a Certificate of Analysis show?
A COA documents the analytical testing performed on a specific batch or lot — typically identity, purity, and the method used to establish them. It is a testing record, not a statement about suitability for any particular use.
Can I request a certificate for a specific lot?
Tell us which material it is and your order number, and add the lot number from the vial label if it has one. No certificate of analysis is published today, so what we can confirm is the specification on file for that material — purity, analytical method, physical form and fill size. We will not send you a certificate we do not have.
See Contact for what to include.
Shipping & fulfillment
When will shipping begin?
Ordering and shipping are not open during pre-launch. Once ordering opens, an estimated processing and ship window will be stated at checkout and on the order confirmation, in accordance with the Shipping & Order Fulfillment policy.
What happens if my order is delayed?
If Tyde cannot ship within the window stated at the time of your order, you will be notified before that deadline with a revised date or a clear statement that a date cannot yet be given, and you will have the option to accept the delay or cancel for a prompt refund. Full mechanics are in Shipping & Order Fulfillment.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes — free of charge, any time before the order enters fulfillment. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and is instead subject to Returns & Refunds.
How are orders packaged and shipped?
Orders ship from within the United States. Materials that require it ship cold, with insulation and cooling sized for the carrier’s transit window — that packaging holds temperature for the trip, not indefinitely, so unpack and store items promptly on arrival per the documentation supplied with them.
How should I store a material after it arrives?
Follow the storage conditions stated in the documentation supplied with that specific material — conditions vary by compound and by form, and the documentation is the authority, not a general rule of thumb. Store it as received, keep the lot number with it, and handle it per standard laboratory practice and the applicable Safety Data Sheet.
Do you ship internationally?
Not currently — United States only. If that changes it will be announced with its own terms, including who is responsible for import compliance, duties, and confirming local legality. See Shipping & Order Fulfillment.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Tell us immediately — before an order enters fulfillment we can change it at no cost. If a package is already returned to us as undeliverable, we can reship at your cost or refund the order less the original outbound shipping.
Payments
What payment methods does Tyde accept?
USDC on the Base network — a US-dollar stablecoin you send yourself from a wallet you already control. One USDC is one dollar, so the amount you send is the price of your order. Tyde does not accept cards. Mainstream card processors do not underwrite research-chemical merchants, and every one we approached declined the category, so this is the rail that exists rather than a preference.
Why can’t I pay with a card?
Stripe, PayPal, Square, and Shopify Payments all prohibit this product category in their acceptable-use policies. The high-risk processors that do serve it either ban peptides by name or set monthly minimums far above a new store’s volume. Rather than misrepresent what Tyde sells to get a merchant account — which is fraud, not a workaround — Tyde is paid directly by customers who already hold crypto.
What happens after I place an order?
You get a page showing one address, one exact amount, and a QR code, and the same details by email. Send that exact amount from your wallet, in a single transaction, on Base. We then check the transfer against the Base network ourselves — contract, address, amount and confirmation depth — and email you when it clears, usually within an hour, and always by the next business day. Your order page updates the moment it does. Nothing here is automatic: a person confirms it, so if you would like to speed that up, email support@tydelab.com your order number and the transaction hash once you have sent it.
Why is the amount not a round number?
The last few digits are how we match your transfer to your order. They add less than one cent. Send the exact figure shown — a rounded amount is treated as an underpayment and will not release your order.
What if I send the wrong amount, or send it to the wrong place?
Send too little and the order is not paid and will not ship — email support@tydelab.com with your order number and transaction hash and we will collect the difference or return what you sent. Send too much and we confirm the order and refund the difference. Send to a different address, in a different asset, or on a different network and the funds cannot be recovered — not by Tyde Labs, and not by anyone else. Nobody can reverse a blockchain transfer. Check the address, the amount, and that your wallet is set to Base before you send.
Returns & order issues
Can I return a product?
Unopened, unused items with an intact tamper-evident seal can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and there is no restocking fee. Message us before shipping anything back so we can confirm eligibility and give you a return address — a package that arrives without that can’t be matched to your order.
Once the seal is broken, an item can’t be returned. That’s standard across laboratory-chemical supply: an opened container can’t be re-certified as unopened or uncontaminated, so it can’t be sold to anyone else. It’s a safety constraint, not a restocking policy. Full terms in Returns & Refunds.
What if my order arrives damaged, wrong, or defective?
You get a replacement or a full refund, and this applies whether or not the seal is intact. Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item and its packaging.
Don’t ship anything back before you hear from us — we’ll tell you whether to return, keep, or safely dispose of it. You will never be asked to return a damaged or hazardous item at your own risk. The same applies if tracking never shows delivery.
How long do refunds take?
Once a refund is approved, we send it back in USDC on Base, to an address you confirm with us in writing, normally within two business days. We refund what we received less the network fee to return it. A crypto payment can’t be reversed, so a refund is a new transfer we make by hand — which is why we need the address from you first. If we cancel an order ourselves — a listing error, or we simply can’t fulfill it — you’re refunded in full with no return and no conditions.
Legal & compliance
Why does Tyde say “Research Use Only”?
Because that is the actual, sole purpose these products are sold for. The label doesn’t loosen anything — the same restrictions on claims and marketing apply whether or not the phrase appears. The full explanation, including why a label alone isn’t legally sufficient by itself, is in Research Use Only & Regulatory Disclaimer.
Is it legal for me to purchase these materials?
Tyde does not represent that any product is legal to purchase, possess, or use in every U.S. state or country. Some research chemicals may be subject to state or federal controlled-substance-analogue laws depending on chemical structure and your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for confirming legality where you live before ordering.
Why can’t Tyde make health or efficacy claims?
Two independent reasons. First, FDA treats a product’s true “intended use” as a question of fact based on all marketing and context, not just a label — so any health claim anywhere on the site would undercut the research-use framing entirely. Second, FTC law requires competent and reliable scientific evidence before making any health or efficacy claim, evidence Tyde does not generate or rely on. Not making the claim is the only position consistent with both.
Account & contact
Do I need an account to browse the catalog?
No. The catalog, specifications, and documentation are all visible without an account. You only need one to place an order.
Do I need an account to order?
Yes. There is no guest checkout. Creating an account is where you read and accept the account agreement — the document in which you confirm you are 21or older and that these materials are for laboratory research use only. That representation is the basis on which we’re willing to sell to you, so it can’t be skipped by checking out anonymously.
It also means your orders, their payment status, and their tracking all live in one place under your accountinstead of in a link you have to keep. If you add items to your cart before signing in, the cart is kept — you come straight back to it.
How does signing up work?
Two steps. You enter your email and a password and accept the account agreement, then we email you a code — 8 digits. Enter that code on the next screen and your account is active.
Our emails contain a code and never a login link. That’s deliberate: a clickable link in an account email is exactly what a phishing copy imitates, and a code has to be typed into a page you navigated to yourself. If an email claiming to be from Tyde Labs ever asks you to click through to sign in, it isn’t from us.
I didn’t get the code, or it stopped working
Codes expire after 60 minutes and work once. Check spam first — then simply sign up again with the same email to get a fresh code. If nothing arrives after a couple of minutes, contact usand we’ll sort it out.
What if I forget my password?
Use Forgot your password? on the log-in page. Enter your email, we send a code, and you set a new password on the next screen — same code-only approach as signup, with no link to click.
For your protection the page says the same thing whether or not an account exists at that address, so nobody can use it to find out who has an account here.
Will Tyde Labs ever ask me for a code or password?
Never — not by email, phone, chat, or any other channel. A verification code is proof that you control your inbox; giving it to anyone defeats the entire point. Nobody at Tyde Labs needs it, and anyone who asks is not us.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Ask and we’ll delete it along with the personal information attached to it. We keep the minimum order records that tax and accounting rules require us to retain — see Privacy Policy.
How is my information used?
See the full Privacy Policyfor what’s collected, why, who it’s shared with, and your rights over it. The short version: we use it to run your account and fill your orders, we don’t sell it, and we don’t run advertising trackers on this site.
How do I contact Tyde Labs?
Email support@tydelab.com, or see Contact for what to include so we can answer in one reply.
